The fairy tale world of the boy is translated into a room that feels both inside and outside. A large curved wall is wallpapered with screen-printed images of trees, that provides the backdrops to some of the scenes; and a bedroom door in the wall makes the space become his bedroom. A framed house structure - gauze stretched over a black frame - is like a child’s drawing of a house, which as it moves around the stage becomes the ever present search for home. This is used as a backdrop for photographic slides of a window or forest depending on the scene.
